Overview
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide, a chain of 15 amino acids derived from a protective protein found naturally in human gastric juice. In preclinical research it has been studied for its effects on tissue repair, angiogenesis, and modulation of nitric-oxide signaling, appearing to act locally with a systemic amplification effect. Human data remains limited to small pilot studies (fewer than 30 participants across all studies); large-scale randomized controlled trials have not been completed.
