Overview
Thymosin Alpha-1 is a 28 amino acid peptide naturally secreted by the thymus gland, responsible for T-cell maturation and immune system orchestration. It was first isolated by Allan Goldstein in the 1970s and has FDA orphan drug status and approval in over 35 countries for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and as a cancer immunotherapy adjunct. It enhances the adaptive immune response, specifically CD4+, CD8+ T-cells, NK cells, and dendritic cells.
